Introduction

The clone feature provides users with the possibility to quickly add new gateways to the system based on a previous configuration. The new gateways will have the same configuration values as the original.

If any of these values have to be edited, users can select the newly created gateway inside the edit view and update the required fields. Information on how to edit the configuration fields of the new gateway can be found here

Clone a gateway:

1. Go to the home view by clicking in the ubiworx logo or the home icon.
2. In the side navigation click on the Clone button under the Configuration section.
3. From the dropdown menu select the gateway you want to duplicate the configuration.
4. Add the details for the new gateway into the fields. See the section bellow for a description of the required fields.
5. Create the new gateway using the Clone button, the changes are saved on the ubiworx broker and will be synced when the gateway connects.

Note:

The clone feature adds a new gateway to the system. To replace a faulty gateway please use the edit feature and update the details with the replacement gateway details. See the edit gateway documentation.
